From the geniuses who brought the epic bird and pig battle series Angry Birds, Rovio Stars' comes with another amazing game, the Plunder Pirates ,that is now available on the Apps Store for iOS and Android. It may seem to appear as their own version of Clash of Clans, but for my personal own opinion, Rovio Stars' Plunder Pirates was marvelously reshaped into a much more amazing same strategy game genre. If you agree with me, then you are already having a pirate dilemma. But don't worry, we are here to give you the ultimate Plunder Pirates hints and techniques to keep you plundering - and also a good jumpstart for newbies. Now hang on their mate, coz were going to get some pirate action!
1. Secure Your Resources First!
Hanging bloody pirates, sinking pirate ships, plundering and sailing, Plunder Pirates is not just all about that - though the game wants us to. Focus on building up your resources first, this is the most basic and effective strategy especially for those who had just started playing. Like other strategy games, Clash of Clans, Gladiators: Call of Arena... name it, it's pretty safe to ensure a good flow of resources first because it's resources that you need most in these games, this will help you improve your defense efficiently. Therefore, focus on silos and resource generating buildings and upgrade them to the maximum level the soonest you can.
2. Build Your Worker's Hut one at a time!
You should know how to manage your resources effectively or else you will end up broke. It is impossible to create your grand island with just one worker only, so use 100 gems to purchase your second worker's hut as soon as the game tutorial is over. As you go on playing the game, you will able to collect gems, save some for your third hut, don't use these gems on anything else until you build at least three builders.
3. Secure the Docks Quickly!
From the time you started playing Plunder Pirates, you only have 24 hours immunity from other attacks. Meaning, you only have a day to build and boost your defense. There are exploring and single players missions, stick to these missions and try to get the most of the early protection by logging in to the game as often as possible.
4. Sail the Seas Often
Plunder Pirates, comes with a unique feature which allows players to explore the waters around them, attacking islands, exploring great adventures and danger. So do all the exploring that you can do early on the game . And don't forget when you log out from the game, leave your ship exploring the greater distance. Here are some extra tips:
- Take the clear waters at all times!
Always build routes on clear waters around you. It safe for your crew and faster to sail.
- Collect Your Bounties!
You will get resources every time you conquered or discovered an island and generate a hefty amount resources over time, so go collect them!
- Attack the Docks Many Times!
With each new attack, things get more harder, however there will be more rewards to be collected
- Select Your Routes Cautiously
Your ship will automatically engage into battle if you encounter a ship or other threats along the way, so make sure that you can win those battles when creating your routes.
5. Complete the quests
Try to complete quests the soonest as possible. There are tons of quest to complete from the time you begin, starting from the basic guides such building your base , exploring and fighting. Check all these quests and see which are the easiest to complete, then do your best to complete them. Some quests allow you to get a quite number of gems while other's don't, so try focusing on those rewarding you with Gems so that you could build the third Builder faster. But remember to have enough room in your vault when you collect the rewards ? mainly the resource ones or else you'll lose them.
6. Plundering and Attacking Guide
Now we're talking! I know already itching about real pirate stuffs. But hold your horses first, because it's not that easy as you think. Like other strategy games, here in Plunder Pirates in order to maximize you winning rate and to minimize your losses, there is a cool attacking feature that each player should master. Each pirate has a distinctive characteristic - like the gunner, having the range advantage yet weaker to close ranged ones. Based on the characteristics and strengths you recruited, make sure to have a good strategy in advancing your attacks. Take note, if your troops are not required to win, don?t send all your troops in battle, this is just a waste of your resources if you will lose them. And before you engage to battle, always try to know the cost of your troops.
7. How to Build an Ultimate Pirate Base
If only you could build solid walls around your base on Plunder Pirates, then you will not find yourself reading this, so let's focus on what we can do instead. The Pirate Hall and the resources are the two things you need most, focus either of the two. For my personal opinion, I would go for the most important part of the island first, the resources.
Most people build one set of walls surrounding their island which I suggest you not to do Instead, try to create as many chambers as you can to make it really difficult for the enemy to destroy one building to another. This will hold your defense, so it's better to have few chambers because it only requires to bring down one wall in a single chamber. Keep those important buildings behind your wall, such as your resources, and the Pirate Hall while you can also put decoy buildings outside.
Another strategy that can increase your defense is to use decorations to extend your land. This will increase the distance the enemy troops need to cross before they reach your keep, and since the enemy troops can only be placed on water, this will give you towers more chances to get rid of them. So put decorations from the main island the farther the better, but not quite far leave no drop of water available for troops to deploy on.
