RTM is a team management game with flavored with small action racing mini games feature. For some reason, I don't know if you will find this game interesting but for F1 enthusiast who wants a gameplay experience with burning tires in drift actions rather than some regular endless runner game like Crazy Taxi: Ciry Rush, maybe this is worth trying. But still I go for 7 out of 10 rating, thanks to it glossy graphics.
Anyways, if you're really buzzed about trying it, just dig in to tips and tricks below. This strategy guide will give you a head start and will help you along the course.
1. First Things First, Make Advantage of your Situation!
Know how to adjust with the situation, choose the best driving mode that suits it. During, you can switch between to these three driving modes (Balanced, Cautious and Aggressive). Balanced driving is the normal driving mode. Everything will be normal such tire and fuel consumption rare, however you will a regular chance for slipstreams and overtakes. Cautious driving is the reserved driving mode. This will allow you to utilize resources minimally, but you will get less chances of overtakes. Lastly is the Aggressive Driving. This enables you to get overtakes and slipstreams very often but fuel and tire consumptions are very fast.
The best strategy is to step on aggressive driving at the start of the race. This will help you climb positions pretty fast, by the time you reach first, switch to cautions mode so can go as long as you will reach the pit stop.
2. Prepare Yourself for All Events
If there's a chance for you to overtake someone or another race is trying to overtake you in actual races, you will be blocked or stopped.
Block occurs when the racer behind you is riding on your slipstream. Other races will approach you from your rear, then suddenly turn to the right or left. Take the right time, wait until they will do the maneuver, then quickly swipe to the same direction they turned to successfully block them.
Slipstream is basically the opposite of block, it happens when you?re drafting the racer in front of you, where you take the place the car trying to overtake the lead car. Timing is also vital in this one, wait until you?re close to the lead car, then zoom around by swiping left or right. Don't mess up with the timing or else you will end up crashing.
Another pass up maneuver is Overtake. You will be put in a first person perspective, and you have to turn efficiently. You have to tilt the device for this. Remember no to tilt too much as that might send you stumbling into the car you are trying to overtake, but make improvements with the steering by tuning it so that you take the turn smoothly.
Avoid happens when there's a big pile up, multiple cars crashing in front of you. To do the avoid maneuver, draw a line with your finger directing your car around the pile up. This one is quite easy than it seems, so no need to worry so much.
There are two ways to activate Pit Stop, one is when you run out of fuel and tires or activate it manually. Your car will pull into the pit stop for a tune up, and five blue circles will appear on your tire. Tap these circles quickly to remove the tire. A new set of will replace the worn ones and you have the circles again. After tapping this for the second time, you?ll be back on the road. Racers will continue to pass over the longer you take, so do it quickly as possible.
3. Gain Experience by Performing Well
Your racing crew will gain experience for several different factors.
Your driver will gain experience based on how many successful overtakes you made.
Your mechanic will gain experience based on how much damage you took during race. Means, no crashed will gain you full experience, so be very careful
Whether or not you met the position criteria, you sponsor gain experience from it. At the start of each race, your sponsor will tell you what position to take or get a higher position than required to get better experience.
A higher level driver will qualify you up the Grid, will able you to access better upgrades. You can recover your Service meter faster with a better mechanic, and the higher level your sponsor is the more bonus money you will get at the end of the race. You can also level up them outside races by training them, but you need to spare extra cash for this.
4. Upgrades and Tune Ups
Upgrades and tune ups are very important, so put this on details. But take priority on those most useful upgrades. This will improve your tires and fuels so you could keep up on the race a little bit longer.
5. Purchase the Amenities
More amenities means more upgrades, passive bonuses and etc. Buy the Communication option first, this is the most important facility to build, as this will increase the speed at which you Service meter fills up. As you engaged in races, it naturally it naturally deteriorates, with crashes depleting it more quicker, making it to be the most essential energy system of this game. It refills overtime, but how fast depends on your mechanic. You can speed it up by the Communications upgrade.
6. Choose Your Cars Smartly
You have to buy a new car to meet the criteria of the champions; this comes when you unlock a new championship to race in. When purchasing new cars, be smart enough to take the best one, make worth of your cash down to the last penny. For me, I will go for better efficiency; this will enable me to drive more aggressive for a period of time. Handling though helps during the overtake parts, but isn't that valuable. Power helps in general, but I still suggest to buy efficient cars.
Well, that's all for now. I guess I got it all covered. You can also try new things such which car you think the best to invest and other tricks.
