You can't possibly deny how strategy games made a farfetched success on market nowadays, it's booming population on the App Store is a clear evidence of this fact. Despite of the tight competition, publishers and developers still dragging out games from the same box. While Rovio and Midoki are quite busy developing updates on Plunder Pirates, My.com, the creators of the popular Jungle Heat had recently released Iron Desert, a strategy war game which now available for download. Seeing a quiet of a few similarities with Jungle Heat, you can probably tell Iron Desert is more likely a reshaped game rather than a new game. But I am not saying that Iron Desert is a cheap recycled knick knack from My.com, since I know how these guys put an effort to their games, and Jungle Heat proves it - and also happens to be one of my favorite strategy games. Though I personally say that Iron Desert is quite far from Jungle Heat's standard, I still recommend it since it's a nice game to play in solo mode and with friends - once you get hooked with the hype you'll find pretty addictive.
Here's another treat from us, we are going to share a detailed Iron Desert Strategy Guide that will help you advance on the game. We don't have a whole day, lock and load because we are going to build your adamant base with these complete tips and tricks!
1. Starting Out!
Since you will start the game with low resources and not well trained troops (merely can handle enemy troops), focus on the single player missions first. There are tons for single missions to do, hold on this for a while, this will buy you enough time to hone your strategy skills while building your base.
2. Focus on Your Resources First!
Try to put your attention on leveling your resource building first, make sure you have a steady and stable flow of resources. Once you secured it, try to upgrade your silos and afterwards your defensive towers. Before your focus on actually expanding your base, make sure you already had a high level Command Center and a good source of resources, it's a great thing to have a good unbreakable defense and establish enough resources is the key to this.
3. Kickstart Your Defense!
Now you have a steady flow of resources, it's the best time for your to muscle up your defense as well as your offence force. Upgrade your defense tower as much as possible, you don't want to see them easily get crumpled by your enemies' troops. Don't forget to boost up your artillery, it's called Zeus and it's place near your Drill Ground. Upgrading it won't be a headache since the first few upgrades are quite cheap, keep upgrading it for extra bonus of energy. The more troops you able to send to battle, the greater chance of knocking off your enemy. Upgrade your Drill Ground to produce a hefty ton of troops. The more you upgrade it the better, so upgrade it as much as you could.
4. Join a Squad!
Clans, alliances, squads, guilds whatever other strategy games (Real Time Strategy) call it, are very important, if you ever played a Plunder Pirates like game before, pretty sure you knew the benefits. Same thing goes for this game. So make sure to find a squad that will adopt you as soon as this feature will be available for you.
5. Stand Guard!
One thing I like about Iron Desert is how they made the infiltration on bases a bit hard, since there's only one area to deploy your troops - at the bottom part. Unlike Clash of Clans like game, where you can deploy your troops and attack in every most part, you will build your base in Iron Desert in such a way its bottom part is defended. Put up your Command Center on the upper portion, making it more difficult to and far to reach, putting decoys in front such as mines and other structures will delay the enemy troops buying your towers enough time to wipe them out. I personally intend to build my Watchtowers and other defensive in such a manner that there's a space for decoy structures between them.
6. Unlocking Your Structures!
Your Squad Hall is very important, yet it will take some time and resources to afford it so repairing it would drag you down. I personally suggest to work first with the low cost structures, try to keep on this order, Radar (comes handy in completing missions), Laboratory and Hangar and last when you have the opportunity, go for the Squad Hall right away.
7. Familiarize the Tower Levels
Your goal here is to find your enemies' weak spots to engage your attacks. Try to learn and familiarize all the levels of towers. Base on your defensive towers, familiarize them and try to tell each levels by just looking at them. For my convenience, I made a list of them and it's very handy in locating the possible targets to attack. So pay attention on your towers and their levels!
Since the game only provides us a limited area to attack, there is no such as perfect strategy to engage attacks, however this feature makes your base to be more likely impenetrable since you will be defending only one side of your base. Well, that goes for now. If you had anything you can share a comment and post it below. Thank you for dropping by, see you on our next time!
