Each heroes has their own super skills and also passive skills. Super skills must be charged with energy where you is gained by dealing and receiving damage before you can use it in battle. You must know how does your hero skills works and using this wisely while in battle progress. Some of them has special effects. Admiral’s Ancient Sails is summoning a ghost ship that can stunned an enemy for a second and a small AOE damage. There are heal, and wrath lightning damage and more. You must utilize your super skills very well. There is an auto skill function in the game but it is not working if you're in the Arena.

Increase your heroes power up skills to be more powerful. When you reach out your team level in 3, you can increase your heroes’ skills. You can do this when tapping on their status screen button at the bottom right. This is very important as skills can be the deciding factor in a battle. You can keep leveling their skill up so that every time you are in battle it will be more useful and easy to get the fast breaking record of SS. 

Promote and Evolve your heroes! - Before you promote your hero, make sure to upgrade the item and if the six slots are full and ready, you can then promote your hero since the item is already upgraded and all the stats are fully improved to then they’re eligible for promotion. This one is needed because if you don't do this, the item will not that powerful to merge in the hero. The deference is that if you basically do promoting your hero so excited, it is not that fully loaded so make sure that you plan everything before doing some changes because you cannot retrieve it back. Promoting a hero can increased its power and unlocks a new skill for them to use. This will make him stronger and better in battle. Do this as much as you can and if you need to, try revisiting past levels to find pieces of equipment or do some hunting in those stages. Evolving is also one of the best to do but this is expensive but this can be more best that just simply promoting your heroes. Evolving is the upgrade your heroes star to improve more.
